Brittany + Matt’s Greenpoint Loft wedding was the perfect expression of this rad couple. We support every couple we work with on creating and designing a wedding that is true to them as people, rather than copying something they saw on Pinterest or Instagram. Being yourselves allows us to get the best photos and all the real moments.
How did these to do it? Matt’s best friend officiated their ceremony (and rocked a laminated clergy badge). Brittany showed off her tattoos in a strapless va-va-voom dress found at NYC’s luxury bridal consignment shop Our Story Bridal. Sustainable wedding for the win! At the end of the night, she changed from pink velvet platform heels to her favorite pair of Vans. Everyone chowed down on their favorite Brooklyn fried chicken spot Pies n’ Thighs and the couple entered dinner at Greenpoint Loft to the WWE theme song. Yes, you read that right.
When I met these two for drinks at Matt’s bar Weather Up in TriBeCa, they told me the 90’s classic True Romance was their favorite movie. They always dreamed of having engagement photos inspired by the movie. Shoots inspired by 80’s and 90’s cult classics happen to be one of my favorite things, so I knew we were going to be an epic fit. If cheetah print leopard coats and Hawaiian shirts were going to be any indicator of what kind of party these two would throw, I knew their wedding at Greenpoint Loft would be awesome.
Needless to say, we made some absolute magic for their October wedding day.
