What’s up, lovers?! I’m Katherine, the OG Wilde Scout.
Based in New York City, I’m a photojournalist-turned-wedding photographer with a passion for making friends + creating art that’s dope as shit. Realness is our speciality. Our photos don’t come from standing on the outside looking in. I specialize at being right in the heart of the moment, capturing it from the source. Take me anywhere and this holds true. So why not Palm Springs?
Wherever in the world that you take me for your wedding, I’m your ride or die from the moment you each out to me to your 50th anniversary and beyond. I consider myself an artist, but you will never feel like you have a stuffy photographer following you around all day. I come in as a counterpart to your wedding crew. I’m a real person too (I will quote Broad City to no end, am always down for a tequila shot, cat mom).
I’ve witnessed the most beautiful weddings: some romantic, some adventurous, some laid back, and some were just a big damn party, but even in their individuality, one thing’s certain, they all fit perfectly in the Wilde Scout family and we felt right at home while photographing them.
Let me take you along to see my favorite adventures.
There’s no better place to start than at home! Meet Alexa + Scott. They moved to New York City from Boston because they are made for the city. They had people come from all around the world to attend their wedding. They were showered in love and gave it right back. See how their love unfolded at The Green Building on that beautiful day in July.
Nottinghamshire, UK is home to the most lit party I’ve ever been lucky enough to dance (and shoot) at. Naomi + James’ wedding day was an adventure to say the least. See what I had to go through to get to their wedding on Inkersall Grange Farm. (hint: SO MANY SHEEP)
Alright.. we’re back in America. Palmetto, GA to be exact. Alexandria + Kerry got married on Serenbe Farm, where they spent their first weekend back in America after living in South Korea for one year, and everything was SO COLORFUL to say the least.
Vows in the Catskills. Eric + Eryc exchanged their vows in one of the most amazing places I’ve been lucky enough to explore. Exploring this state en route to their wedding was like a soul-cleansing for me. I arrived at their wedding feeling SO refreshed and inspired to capture all of their loved ones gathered in a big barn in the mountains to party the night away.
We’ll come full circle and end in one of my favorite New York City Hall weddings. They’re actually both from Australia, in London for work, and in love with NYC so it was obvious to them where they wanted to elope. RIGHT HERE IN NYC.
As you begin planning your wedding or elopement in Palm Springs, take a look at our portfolio, to find more love stories. If my work resonates with you, if you can imagine yourselves in my photographs, feel free to get in touch. I’d love to hear more about you, your unique love story and how you envision this amazing day to come. Let our fun adventure together starts right here, right now!
Let’s kick some creative ass.
